This article about Werecat is a stub. You can help Myth and Folklore Wiki by expanding it.
A werecat is a mythological or folkloric human with the ability to shapeshift into a wildcat or a hybrid wildcat-like creature, either purposely or after being placed under a curse. They have the power of both a human and a wildcat.
Similarities to Werewolves[]
Like the werewolf, they can change into a humanoid cat or reverse with a cat becoming human. The werecat can also be a being cursed by sorcery or by accident, like messing with witches or warlocks, who often have a cat/familiar at their side to defend them if provoked.
