*Wariḫu /wariχu/ also reconstracted as *Wariḵu /warixu/ (both transliterated as Warikhu , angelicised as Warikh, Scottish Warich) is the original moon god of Semitic religions and the origin of Levantine Yarikh, Akkadian Sin, Sumerian Nannar, and Arabian Ta'lab. He is borrowed from or into Hamaitic Thoth or both shared unknown Afroasiatic origin. He also shared unknown Indo-Semitic origin with Proto-Indo-European god *Meh1not.
