Bhishma abducts Ambika and Ambalika

Vichitravirya was the son of Satyavati and Shantanu, king of Hastinapura. His elder brother was Chitrangada. He also had a half-brother on his father's side (Bhishma) and one on his mother's (Vyasa). He was married to Ambika and Ambalika, who Bhishma abducted for him, but died before having children with them. Vyasa later provided them with children - Dhritarashtra and Pandu, thus Vichitravirya was legally grandfather of the Kauravas and Pandavas.
