Vayu is the Hindu god of the air and wind. He is aslo the god of breathe and, as such, is considered the life-giver. He is also the guardian of the direction, north-west. He is the father of Hanuman.

Vayu is usually depicted with blue or greyish skin and riding upon a deer or antelope.
