classes, levels, titles, and ranks. the class/level/title/rank system, or the categorization system. a way for me to put my characters into neat little boxes! also helpful if i ever make gacha game out of this.

About CLASSES, LEVELS, TITLES, & RANKING
What they are & how they work
An Official Braithology Document
SECTION 0 : INTRODUCTION
So, what are classes, levels, titles, and ranks?
- CLASS - the height of a given character’s status or power within braithology
- LEVEL - how powerful a given character is within their class
- TITLE - an arbitrary term used to show what a character’s abilities are
- RANK - how hard/rare a character is to obtain
CLASSES are measured on a letter scale, S-F (S>A>B>C>D>F).
LEVELS are measured on a number scale, 1-5 (5>4>3>2>1).
TITES have no measurement, they are categories which will be covered later.
RANKS are measured in stars, 1-6 (6>5>4>3>2>1)
These terms are listed as such: CLASS X LVL X (TITLE) RANK.
ex. CLASS B LVL 2 (WARRIOR) 3 STAR ✦✦✦✧✧✧
The listing MUST be all uppercase, the title MUST be in parenthesis and the star count MUST be listed before the actual stars. NOTHING IS OPTIONAL.
SECTION I : CLASSES
Classes (for the most part) are categorized based on the likelihood of the character to die in canon. The lower class they are, the more likely they are to be killed.
Classes are split up as follows:
- S CLASS - very powerful immortals. 0% chance of death.
- A CLASS - immortals and ethereals. 1% chance of death.
- B CLASS - demi-gods and gifted mortals. 10% chance of death.
- C CLASS - mortals with great strength or power. 40% chance of death.
- D CLASS - above average mortals with a special skill. 70% chance of death.
- F CLASS - average mortals with no special skill. 90% chance of death.
SECTION II: LEVELS
Classes can also be split up into different levels. A level is decided by how much power the character holds over others in their class. Levels come into play when determining death and killing capabilities. Click here for an in-depth explanation (this thread also goes over some definitions and other lore that is helpful to know).
Levels are split up as follows:
- LEVEL 5 - strongest in their class.
- LEVEL 4 - second strongest in their class.
- LEVEL 3 - average in their class.
- LEVEL 2 - second weakest in their class
- LEVEL 1 - weakest in their class.
SECTION III : TITLES
Titles are a bit different than the other categorization types. Why? Because they don’t give a representation of power or status. Titles are simply a, well, title given to a character that is used to show what their skills are (or, how they are referred to when their name is unknown). One character can have multiple titles.
Titles are as follows (subject to change):
- PRIMORDIAL - an immortal that is Chaos or an entity created by Chaos.
- TITAN - an immortal that is a child of Gaia.
- DEITY - an immortal that is an entity created after the Titans.
- ETHEREAL - a being who cannot die but does not represent or control something.
- DEMI-GOD - the product of an immortal and a mortal.
- WARRIOR - a character whose role is fighting or related to fighting.
- PROTECTOR - a character whose role is protecting or guarding something.
- CREATOR - a character whose role is to create or make something.
- SUMMONER - a character whose role is to bring something or someone to them.
- SPECIALIST - a character whose role does not fit into any other title.
- MORTAL - a being who can die with relative ease.
SECTION IV : RANKS
Ranks are a measurement of how easy or difficult a character is to obtain. They will only come into play when a gacha aspect is added to braithology, but are useful to have nonetheless. They go almost hand in hand with levels.
Ranks are split up as follows:
- 6 STAR ✦✦✦✦✦✦ - extremely rare. 1/1000 pulls.
- 5 STAR ✦✦✦✦✦✧ - very rare. 1/800 pulls.
- 4 STAR ✦✦✦✦✧✧ - rare. 1/500 pulls.
- 3 STAR ✦✦✦✧✧✧ - uncommon. 1/200 pulls.
- 2 STAR ✦✦✧✧✧✧ - common. 1/20 pulls.
- 1 STAR ✦✧✧✧✧✧ - easy. 1/5 pulls.
SECTION V : CLOSING
This class/level/title/rank system is still a work in progress. I came up with this idea recently and wanted to put it to use. If I ever make a gacha game out of braithology, I will most likely come back to this system.
