The Titanic Muses were an association of five sisters, Aiode, Melete, Thelxinoe, Arkhe and Mnemosyne. They were the predecessors of the Olympian Muses.

Aiode[]

Aiode was the muse of song and dance. She was aunt of the Olympian Muses

Melete[]

Melete was the muse of practice. She was aunt of the Olympian Muses.

Thelxinoe[]

Thelxinoe was the muse of mind-charming and sweet music. She was aunt of the Olympian Muses.

Arkhe[]

Arkhe was the muse of the beginnings of music and early sound. She was aunt of the Olympian Muses.

Mnemosyne[]

Mnemosyne was the muse of memory and, by Zeus , was mother of the Nine Muses of Olympus, Calliope, Clio, Erato, Thalia, Euterpe, Polyhymnia, Terpsichore, Melpomene and Ourania. She was also grandmother of the Apollonic Muses through Calliope.
