Thallo (Greek: Θαλλω, meaning "blooming" or "green-shoots") is the Greek goddess of flowering plants, buds, and green shoots in Spring, and is counted among the Horae representing seasons and/or agricultural periods.
Myths & Legends[]
Thallo was known to assist in the growth of plants and green shoots, as well as budding and blooming flowers, especially in Spring. She was believed to grant prosperity to the young shoots of plants during this season, and it is what she was worshipped for.
Thallo was worshipped in Athens alongside the goddess Pandrosos (All-Dew), and was also invoked in the political oath which the citizens of Athens had to take.
