Thalia (or Thaleia ) was one of the Nine Muses of Olympus . She was assigned to the artistic sphere of comedy plays, and was usually depicted with a comic mask, a shepherd staff and wearing a wreath of ivy.
She is not to be confused with Thalia the Charis .
