Telamon was the son of King Aeacus of Aegina and the brother of Peleus. He was the father of Ajax and Teucer. After he killed his other brother, he and Peleus fled Aegina. Telamon eventually settled in Salamis, becoming king. After his father died, Telamon claimed the kingship of Aegina as well. He participated in a siege of Troy with Heracles, one generation before the Trojan War and took Hesione, Priam's sister as his second wife. He was the uncle of Achilles, who was the son of Peleus and Thetis. He was also an Argonaut.
