Semargl or Simargl is the God of physical fire (unlike Svarog who is God of celestial fire) in East Slavic mythology. An idol of the Simargl was presented in the pantheon of Great Prince Vladmir of Kiev. There are images of Simargls on bracelets from the 12th or 13th century.

He is said to be the husband of Kupalnica (or Kupalnitsa), goddess of night, from whom he got two children: Kupalo and Kostroma.
