Wife of Chandra[]
Rohini is the daughter of Daksha and sister of the 26 other Nakshatras. She is the chief wife of Chandra, the moon god, to which all her sisters are also married.
Wife of Vasudeva[]
Rohini is the name of a wife of Vasudeva, the son of Shurasena (the other being Devaki). She is the mother of Balarama, who was transported to her womb from Devaki's by divine intervention. She is also the mother of Subhadra, who eventually married Arjuna, her cousin (through Vasudeva's sister Kunti), and was the mother of Abhimanyu and grandmother of King Parikshit of Hastinapura.
