Lauma, also known as Laumė, is a woodland fairy from Baltic mythology, who is also guardian spirit of orphans, sky and fate.

Lauma was originally the goddess of the sky before until she fell in love with a human man this love made her compassion for humans. So she left the sky and became an earth goddess to share the same fate that all humans share even willing to feel and go through their suffering.
