Lakshmi, also known as Vaishnavi, is the Hindu goddess of wealth, beauty, fertility and prosperity, and within the Shaktidharma denomination she is revered as the supreme Preservatrix in the cycle of ages (mahayuga).  She is the consort of Vishnu and, as such, forms one of the three Tridevi, with Saraswati and Parvati. She is a very popular goddess and is worshipped along with her husband. Her vahana (mount) is an elephant.
