
Chitrangada's parents
Chitrangada was the son of Shantanu, king of Hastinapura, and Satyavati. Due to an agreement between his father and maternal grandfather, he took precedence over his older half-brother Bhishma. He became king after his father died and was a great warrior. He was killed by a spirit after a battle that raged for three years. He was succeeded by his brother.
