This page is for demons found in Islamic traditions.
Demons are considered a separate species from Angels, with are considered to be types of malevolent jinn (such as Ifrit and Devil).
Malevolent jinn are thought of to be made of fire, can eat, drink, sleep, and reproduce, and have free will. Angels in Islam are often thought to be made of light, and do not need to eat, drink or sleep, cannot reproduce, and lack free will.
Besides jinn, devils or former jinn; Qarinahs, Hinn, Zabaniya, etc. can also be considered demons.
Should be noted that; Sometimes devils treated as class of jinn, but also sometimes treated as seprate beings (As they are entirely mutated to something worse)
