Brihaspati is a Hindu god. He is the god of wisdom and is guru (teacher) of the gods and is their most prized counsellor and adviser. He is also the god of the planet Jupiter and his arch-nemesis is Shukra, advisor to the demons. His wife is Tara and he is the adoptive father of Budha (the real father is Chandra).
