Bendis is the Thracian and Dacian goddess of the moon, forests and charms, love and maternity. She corresponds to Artemis in Greek mythology or Diana in Roman mythology.
Myths & Legends[]
Herodotus wrote that this goddess is adored by the Dacian women. Her cult survived during the period of Roman occupation, in the form of Roman goddess Diana.
