The Battle of Camlann was a battle between the forces of King Arthur and his nemesis Mordred, sometimes shown as his nephew or son. The cause of the battle is not directly specified and the survivors of the battle were seven knights on Arthur's side; both Arthur and Modred were either killed or mortally wounded during the course of the battle.
Etymology[]
The name most likely derives from Brittonic *Cambo-landa ("crooked/twisting-enclosure" or "crooked/twisting open land"), though other etymologies have been proposed.
