Athena with the Snake in Palazzo Altemps. This sculpture consists of a draped female torso of the Roman period, modelled on a Greek statue type of the late 5th century BC, completed in the 17* century by Alessandro Algardi. It probably represented Hygieia but was restored as an Athena by Alessandro Algardi to oblige his patron, Cardinal Ludovisi.
