Antenor was an important counselor of Priam and the Trojans, in Greek Mythology. His wife was theano, and he had thirteen sons, who all were mentioned throughout the Iliad.

Trojan War[]

At the Sack of Troy, Antenor was spared by the Achaeans, either because he advocated peace and the restoration of Helen, or because he simply betrayed the city. After that war, he came to northern Italy where he founded Padua.

Many of his sons appear in the battles of the Trojan War, in the Iliad.[]

  • Demoleon, killed
  • Iphidamas, killed
  • Laodokos
  • Agenor (son of Antenor) - (many other Greeks had that name)
